About The Trek
The Langtang Valley Trek offers a rich wilderness experience remarkably close to Kathmandu. Called the "Valley of Glaciers," this Himalayan valley features stunning snow-capped peaks, ancient Tamang and Tibetan Buddhist culture, and a diverse ecosystem within the Langtang National Park. The trek visits the cheese factory at Kyanjin Gompa, a thriving yak-herding community, and offers the opportunity to summit Tserko Ri (4,984m) for breathtaking panoramic views. This is an ideal first Himalayan trek for those new to high-altitude adventure.
